Rutherford Diagnostics is establishing a network of new diagnostic facilities across the UK, to provide diagnostic services to the NHS and to private patients, with each centre providing a variety of services including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray and other diagnostic imaging services.
Their first Centre, the Rutherford Diagnostic Centre Somerset, opened its doors for patients on the 20th of September 2021.
WORKPLACE won the hard & soft services contract in May after a successful tender bid. We started work almost immediately to help make certain they were ready to open on time.
We have a team of three housekeepers and an engineer employed on-site to make our services as reactive and responsive as possible. Having worked in the healthcare sectors for over 20 years; and Rutherford Cancer Centres specifically for over 3 of those, we understand how important it is for our colleagues to be integrated into the clients’ culture. Becoming part of their team is key for us to be able to deliver the correct level of service required in such a fast paced and heavily scrutinised environment.
Rutherford Diagnostic Centre Somerset will be operating from 8am to 8.00pm, 7 days a week. As the first of many Rutherford diagnostic centres due to open, they are expecting very heavy footfall. Our team will be on hand to support them and their staff allowing them to deliver the best care to their patients as possible within a clean and safe environment. Focusing on primarily on cleaning we will also deliver:

Rutherford Diagnostic Centre Somerset had its first Care Quality Commission (CQC) audit on 13th September 2021. Amanda Hegarty, Service Support Manager commented that, “…this has been a huge team effort and we are only here thanks to the continuous hard work that everyone has put in…we couldn’t have done this without you. This centre is going to have such a great impact on the people that will be using these facilities.”
Ron Russell, Head of Programme at Rutherford went on to say that the CQC accreditation was a “…team effort – and you guys [WORKPLACE] are part of the Team! Many thanks for all your support…you have offered reassurance and been very cooperative in problem solving so far – looking forward to working with you.”
